Very nice and interesting golf course, well maintained and the greens are fantastic. A cart is recommended. The service in the clubhouse was ok. I would appreciate more informations from the reception and more interest from the side of teh caddie master. I boked a set of left handed golf clubs got it and realised at the driving range that the iron 8 was missing. I went back and aksed the caddie master and he just told me that someone lost it a week ago.

Driving range ball machine delivered half the balls.....tech issue. Fabulous distance and great use of water and obstacles to protect greens......which were very slow with sand treatment. Starter kindly started us off tee 10 to avoid a larger group in front scheduled on tee 1.

Unfortunately the day we played there was a sea mist that hung around all day, so we could not fully appreciate Royal Obidos. As many morning tee times were cancelled, the caddy master did a great job of communicating with us and trying to organise adjusted times. The course (as far as we could see!) was fine with some very challenging holes and in good condition. Course was full and it was a 4.5 hour round

Well worth playing if also visiting Praia de Rey and west links. Not quite as good as the other two but layout with water coming into play on many holes is challenging and fair . Plenty of risk reward decisions to be made. Greens were painfully slow during our visit. Allow 4. Hours 40 minimum for the round.

Nice course. Very crowded. Double Tee Times ( 1 and 10 ) in the morning. Staff / Greenkeepers drive in Front of you. Range Basket 5 Euros ..... Coffee and Food compared to 2017 disappointing ....stopped playing after 9 holes ....

It was now the eighth time I played at Royal Obidos with friends and it is still a great Golfcourse. The course is beautiful. It was very busy, many guests from the hotel played with various handycaps, so the round was very long, 6 hours! Many building activities for the hotel make the stay in the hotel less pleasant!

Superbe golf proche de l'océan dessiné par Severiano Ballesteros, ancien joueur professionnel de golf. Le tracé est vraiment intéressant, les trous sont souvent longs avec de nombreux plans d'eau sur l'ensemble du parcours. Le terrain dans l'ensemble est assez vallonné avec des fairways souvent larges. La présence du vent rend le jeu plus difficile lors des mises en jeu et des seconds coups. C'est un vrai parcours de championnat où la moindre erreur est punie par l'exigence que le tracé propose. L'entretien est excellent, les fairways et les greens sont très bien entretenus. Les départs sont également de qualité. Ces derniers offrent des vues impressionnantes sur l'ensemble du parcours. Cependant, il est dommage qu'aucun trou ne soient en bord de mer même si on aperçoit l'océan de loin. D'ailleurs, la terrasse du restaurant offre une vue magnifique sur le golf et l'océan. Le rapport qualité/prix est excellent à cette période où il n'y a pas grand monde sur le parcours. Pour un prix raisonnable, on peut jouer un golf de grande qualité signé par l'un des meilleurs golfeurs que ce sport ait connu.

Course was empty which is a worrying sign for the future - only 22 players scheduled to play!! Greens (on both the course and practice area) looked as bad as we have ever seen them but putted OK on the them.....they were so much slower than in all of our previous visits. Apart from greens, course was well presented and in good condition. Speed of play was good but no course ranger in sight.

Second time we played this course. Because of the wind the course is more difficult. Just like the other time and courses in the neighbourhood, you pay a lot of money if you haven’t luck with the players in front of you.. a marshall should regulate slow players... that will add value to all the players! That’s why this time I rate this course 6 instead of 8

Very scenic and playable course. Lots of water hazards making risk reward decisions interesting. Wide fairways and large greens so not over penal if you are a bit off line. Fabulous clubhouse, good food offering at reasonable prices. Good range, except we were told we couldn't use it (without prior notice) as they were about to cut the outfield! Poor customer service in this regard.

The course was much better this year as some of the scrubland had been cleared. It was challenging but fair and we really enjoyed playing it even the long par 5 second! We were well looked after and Jose on the reception gave us the name of an excellent restaurant for the evening which was a real bonus. The condition of the course was exceptional and it was a real pleasure to have played it.

This is a challenging course, I am certain championship set up. But saying that it was in very good condition and the views were wonderful. But unless you are a very very long hitter, don't expect to play too near your handicap - just enjoy the ambiance.

Great condition. We timed our game there perfectly as a few days later, they undertook their summer dressing of the greens which made them virtually unplayable. We would have been very disappointed if we had turned up to play and saw the greens covered in sand and full of tining holes. They were offering a 25% discount due to the summer maintenance work which we felt was Insufficient due to the impact of not being able to putt properly on the greens (for circa 2 weeks). In normal circumstances a most enjoyable course and we will return.

Great course and great experience. Condition was very good (apart from a few tees) and the speed of play was acceptable. Special note of thanks to pro shop staff who were very helpful and friendly. Remembering my name the second time we played does make the customer feel good, and they managed to secure us a much needed buddy for the second round.

It was in magnificent condition and of all the courses we played I think this was the one that anybody would want to play again if forming part of a golf tour, because there were a lot of interesting holes where a little more knowledge would help on the second visit.

Helpful and friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant. Neverless I think Quinta do Vale is a better and more challenging design and easier to walk

Don't like teeing off on 10 but appreciate this may have been to avoid the large coach party who turned up as we checked in. Otherwise a great course in good condition. No electric trolleys so not sure whether they had all been pre-booked by the coach party or whether they no longer hired them but again see these as essential for the course. Love playing it though and will definitely be back

A world class golf course. As with Praia Del Rey above, we were disappointed to start from the 10th tee, particularly as the course seemed very quiet both days we were there. Great value for money; and a wonderful clubhouse.
