The staff in the reception, bar and caddy master were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the course was in terrible condition. Greens, fairways and tee boxes need a lot of work to bring them up to an acceptable standard. The design of the course is good as the course navigates through very large mature trees.

The staff is nice, but the club house and buggy service close early, at 18:30. The course is not in the best condition, mostly over dry.

We enjoyed another round @ the Wentworth of Portugal like it is often called. Although the course is better maintained then Aroeira Challenge (Aroeira II), there is room for improvement to get a rate of 8+. It’s not possible to clean up the pineappels every week but there is also a lot of small lumber which can be removed. We got a very warm welcome by 2 young ladies and the staff at the bar were very friendly and helpfull. Until next time.

Der Unterschied zwischen Aroeira 2und 1 war sehr deutlich. Ein gepflegter Platz, Gute Grüns, und Bunker. Einen großen Kritikpunkt habe ich trotzdem. Dieser geht an die Golfspieler die vor uns gestartet sind. Wir sind um 11:04 Uhr los. Die Greenkeeper sind nicht Eure Lakaien. Überall auf der Welt werden die Bunker nach dem Schlag geharkt. Es war am 11.04. recht sonnig. Und die Spuren waren frisch!!. Eben so waren die Divots sehr frisch. Die dritte Beanstandung sind die Pitchmarken auf dem Grün. Kein Anfänger verursacht Pitchmarken. Hallo Profis bückt euch!!! Tipp an Aroeira. Lasst öfter den Marshall über den Platz fahren. Dann aber mit Konsequenzen!!!! Wir haben es 2013 an der Algarve gesehen. Konsequenz ist da sehr hilfreich!!! Heinrich Pitas -**- The difference between Aroeira 2 and 1 was very clear. A well-kept course, good greens, and bunkers. Nevertheless, I have one big criticism. This goes to the golfers who started before us. We left at 11:04 am. The greenkeepers are not your lackeys. Everywhere in the world the bunkers are raked after the shot. It was quite sunny on 11.04. And the tracks were fresh! So were the divots very fresh. The third complaint is the pitch marks on the green. No beginner causes pitch marks. Hello professionals bend down!!! Tip to Aroeira. Let the marshal drive over the course more often. But then with consequences!!!! We saw it in the Algarve in 2013. Consistency is very helpful there!!! Heinrich Pitas

nice, challenging Course. Toilets after Green 11; if this Information was given on Reception or on the Score Card, we wouldn't make the way from Green 9 to the Clubhouse and back to Tee 10. Restaurant in the Clubhouse very good and friendly.
